Reserving IMATS Equipment
IMATS offers a range of audio gear that students, staff, and faculty members are welcome to check out.
If this is your first time reserving equipment at IMATS, you must fill out a Patron Registration Form (you only need to do this once).
Instructions on how to reserve IMATS equipment is available on their Patron Portal Walkthrough webpage.
Booking & Operating Media Center’s Whisper Booth
Students, staff, and faculty members can book the Media Center’s Audio Booth on LibCal. Only studio trained individuals can book and use the Audio Booth.
Reservation guidelines are also available on our website. First time users should arrive ten minutes early for a brief orientation of available equipment, studio rules, and instructions for operating the Whisper Booth.

Audio Software in Post-Production Lab
We have the following audio editing software available in the Post-Production Lab (Milstein 105):
- Adobe Audition
- Audacity
- Garage Band
- Hindenburg
The Post-Production Lab is open during Milstein Library’s hours of operation.
Booking a Consultation
Students, staff, and faculty members are encouraged to book consultations with IMATS and Media Center staff. We’re happy to learn more about your creative project and offer any technical insights.
