On Friday, December 7, Jen Brown and Melanie Hibbert of the Design Center and the Media Center presented at the Emerging Technologies Consortium, giving a presentation called "Dance Magic Dance: AR/VR in Performing Arts."
Barnard College has a nationally recognized Department of Dance, and library administrators in collaboration with faculty piloted media and digital tools for dance research, performance, and composition. This presentation highlighted case studies on using AR/VR and how it can offer innovative methods of instruction in the performing arts. Jennifer Brown also highlighted Barnard's Design Center.
