On Thursday, November 30th at 6 pm in Altschul 202 the Sloate Media Center is hosting a special edition of our Feminist Film Series in partnership with The Athena Center: a screening of the psychological horror film Birth/Rebirth (2023) followed by a talk back with writer/director Laura Moss in conversation with Artemis Rising Filmmaker Fellow Sushma Khadepaun. The film follows a morgue technician who, after successfully reanimating the body of a young girl, must harvest biological material from pregnant women in order to keep her alive. When the girl's mother, a nurse, discovers her baby alive, they enter into a deal that forces them both down a dark path of no return. As always, there will be pizza, snacks, and plenty of terror.
