Joel Rader is a NYC-based documentary and fiction filmmaker/director and screenwriter, originally from Berlin, Germany. He graduated from Wesleyan University in 2023, with a B.A. in Film and in Environmental Studies where he co-founded Anthropocine, a nonprofit film studio standing up for the planet and social justice. In 2021, his first documentary short, “man with a broom” was awarded official selections to multiple film festivals, including Santa Barbara International. Now, Joel has several projects in various stages of development and pre-public release, including his first fiction short, “I Dance Now”.
